Taken on face value alone Contra, the sophomore effort from island electronica pop icons Vampire Weekend is an enjoyable listen. The tunes are catchy and the lyrics are clever, much like their self titled debut. That being said, there are aspects of this album that open themselves up for discussion. (more…)

Thought this was interesting since The Farm is and will always be big fans of Guns n Fuckin Roses. It’s from a Japanese two track single and this is the B-Side. Slash will be coming out with a solo album called Slash & Freinds in early 2010. It will feature guest vocalists but most importantly the album features four of the five original members of Guns N’ Roses: Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Steven Adler and Duff McKagan. Singer Axl Rose is the only original Guns N’ Roses member absent from the Slash & Friends line-up. Giddy up.
